The decarbonisation of industry, as well as the promotion of energy efficiency, renewables and the circular economy are basic to the ecological transition and challenges for society. These issues have been addressed on 31 May at the Instituto Tecnológico de Aragón, in a conference on biogas and its important role in the energy transition, the decarbonisation of industry and the development of a circular economy.
Jose Benito Carbajo, Coordinator of the LIFE Multi-AD Project, participated in the round table of the conference showing the biogas generation potential of wastewater generated by agri-food SMEs. Specifically, the Multi-AD technological solution has demonstrated that it is possible to produce 0.36m3 of biogas per kg of COD to be treated in water from the wine sector.
