Jose Benito Carbajo participated in the Round Table on how to reduce the carbon footprint in the wine sector at a conference on sustainability organised by the Association of Auxiliary Wine Industry of La Rioja on 2 June.
The coordinator of the LIFE Multi-AD project showed the benefits of having an anaerobic water treatment process in the wineries that allows treating and recovering industrial effluents, minimising the consumption of energy and chemical products, as well as reducing the carbon footprint by more than 50%.
